Here are a few facts about South Tyrolean cherries…
  • Total cultivation area: approx. 50 ha
  • The cherry orchards are situated between 500 and 1,100 meters above sea level.
  • Cherry season: end of June to the end of August
  • Quantity produced: 90 t
  • The cherries must have a diameter of 22 mm before being harvested.
  • The main varieties grown in South Tyrol are Kordia and Regina.
Tip: enjoying cherries
Longer periods of storage cause the cherries to lose their aroma.
